Spaghetti Carbonara

Due to my intense craving for spaghetti, I went to look up for recipe for spaghetti carbonara, online. Last time what I'd do was buy the can version of sauce where everything is done and all you need to do was to cook the spaghetti and mix with the sauce. After looking at the recipe only did I realise that the sauce is made up from very simple ingredients.

Below are the ingredients used:



  • Milk or cream
  • Bacon
  • Garlic
  • Egg
  • Cheese
  • Olive oil
  • Black Pepper
  • Salt
  • Herbs (Optional)

The steps (modified a bit) :
  1. Cook the spaghetti in boiled water with salt and olive oil.
  2. In the mean time, cook the bacon without oil.
  3. Take the bacon out, add some olive oil and garlic. Fry for a while.
  4. Add in the milk but don't let it boil.
  5. Add in salts, black pepper and cheese.
  6. Turn off the fire, crack an egg into it.
  7. Add in the cooked spaghetti while it is still hot and mix together with the sauce. 
  8. EAT and get FAT. ;)

TADAAAA.

Outcome: Too dry. The spaghetti was not fully cooked. Taste consider good. LOL.
